I just love getting yarn in the mail. Yesterday and today have been just full of yarny goodness…I got some BFL Laceweight that I ordered from Yarn Addict Yarns on etsy.
I was planning to use it for the Mystic Waters KAL but that has been put on the back burner due to the loads of Christmas knitting that I still need to do.
I also received some Blue Sky Dyed Cotton in the Mediterranean colorway from a swap with ashleyb502 on the Knittyboard. Then today I got my order from WEBS – 7 skeins of Valley Yarns Berkshire (4 in Black and 3 in Orange) for a hat and scarf for my cousin Cindy and a Tychus hat for her son Chris. I also got 2 skeins of Dale of Norway/Dalegarn Falk (1 in Black and 1 in Orange) to make Endpaper Mitts for my cousin’s daughter, Caitlyn…as you can most likely tell, the kid’s school colors are Orange and Black! I still need to finish the cuff on my Mom’s anklet socks, but I couldn’t resist casting on for the Endpaper Mitts. I have seen some amazing ones on Ravelry and although I’m not crazy about the Orange and Black colors (too Halloweeny for me), I am very excited to knit this pattern. Who knows, maybe I will make myself a pair when I am through!
