I knitted like a fiend all weekend (my arms really hurt today), but I finally finished the Chevron Shawl that I was knitting for my Grandmother for Christmas. She is the type of woman who would never wear a lace shawl because she would consider it “too fancy”…I mean, this is a woman who went bra-less rather than wear a lacy bra that my Mother bought her because it was too nice to wear on a daily basis! Sheesh!!
I really love the yarn (Brooks Farm Four Play in Spring Fling). I just hope she actually uses it!

This shawl looks really nice without being too formal, I think. Of course she’ll use it!

This is absolutely gorgeous. I just stumbled on this shawl of yours on ravelry and I’m curious, would you share the modifications to the scarf with me that turned it into a shawl? I’d be most appreciative. I want to frog the diagonal mesh shawl I’m working on and would love to start this with my Four Play. Thanks, in advance!
